Make
MATA transportation services work for you:
*
Plan your trip: MATA makes it easy to ride the bus. All
you need to begin is the address of where you are, the address
or cross streets of where you want to go and when you wish
to arrive. With that information, there are several ways
to find out when and where you catch your bus.
*
Make a call: One quick way to get route and schedule information
is to call the MATA Hot Line at 274-6282. You can give the
representative your location, destination and desired arrival
time, and you'll get all the information you need to make
your trip.
*
Go online: Log on to www.matatransit.com. Look under "Riding
MATA" look under "Schedules and Maps" for
the group of routes you are interested in.
*
Check the bus: Often, you'll find maps and schedules right
at the bus stop or even on the bus. You can find how to
proceed from that location. Bus Operators are happy to assist
you once you are on the bus as well.
*
Stop at the stop: Bus stops are marked with route numbers
of the buses that serve the location. Buses will display
their route numbers, names and their final destination in
a lighted sign above the windshield. Signal the bus driver
to stop by standing or waving as the bus approaches.
*
Take a seat: You may take any open seat on the bus, but
note that the front seats are reserved for senior citizens
and people with disabilities.
